Gautam Kumar is elected President of the Council of International Investigators (CII), becoming the youngest in the organization’s history.
Established in 1965, Globe Detective Agency (GDA) has grown from a regional initiative into a globally recognized leader in investigative and security services, setting industry benchmarks for over six decades.
Founded by the late Capt. Prem Kumar, a pioneer of private investigation in India, Globe evolved from a one-man bureau into a nationwide institution with international reach. At 18, while studying Engineering in the United States, he discovered his passion for Criminology and became the first Indian formally trained as a private detective in both the USA and the UK.
In Chicago, while working as a hotel detective, he assisted local police in apprehending a criminal gang, earning recognition for his investigative instincts. Under the mentorship of Sgt. Emil Smicklas of the Chicago Police, he trained in police detection and later worked with the Michigan Surety Company, successfully tracking notorious offenders and gaining international assignments and professional acclaim.
Driven by a strong sense of purpose, he returned to India to establish private investigation as a professional service. His work on landmark cases such as the Patiala Child Murder Case, Mehrauli Murder Case, and Taxi Driver Murder Case cemented his reputation as the country’s foremost detective.
From these beginnings, GDA has built a legacy defined by integrity, innovation, and excellence, serving individuals, corporations, industries, and governments across borders with trusted investigative and security solutions.
